  1. Base Maps from 550 BC to Modern Day, all in UCS!

I need a map of the world with as many internal divisions as possible for 1918; before the breakup of the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary, but after the Russian Revolution began. Haste in this would be appreciated.
  2. Reasonable World War I Books

The things you hear about John Keegan are correct; if you're looking for a general history of the war, I'd strongly recommend him.
  3. Alternate Weapons of War thread...

Great drawing, but how does it stay afloat?
  4. The Electric Fence in WW1

Well, to be technical, if you had the right gear, you can build an electric fence in Babylon.
  5. Base Maps from 550 BC to Modern Day, all in UCS!

Can I get a 2011 map without all the stupid lines in the oceans and Antarctica? Also, internal divisions would be appreciated.
  6. WI: A Uglier Civil War.

Everybody west of the Mississippi dies of their obvious mass drug overdose.
  7. WWI bombing kills the Royal Family

...... So he just drops them over a heavy populated area without regard for, say, anything? A much better option than depositing them over, say, a place where they are sure there are few civilians. And even then, the chances of that bomb going through the clouds in just the right place to kill...
  8. WWI bombing kills the Royal Family

Buckingham Palace isn't exactly difficult to notice. Its a much larger target than any nursery.
  9. WWI bombing kills the Royal Family

I doubt its possible. WWI bombs aren't the most accurate..... And besides, the Royal Family probably wouldn't just be sitting about during an air raid, now would they?
  10. How Many WWII Generals Were War Criminals

Also, every once in a very, very rare while, its used to punish people guilty of genocide/violations of the Geneva Conventions. :p

*rubs eyes* Whoah, that's one hell of a Russo-wank.
  12. Victoria II

Question for a game as Germany: When playing as Germany, I've always had a problem with my industrial score. How can I make it higher? The year is 1858, by the way.
  13. Britain crushes the American rebellion

Who knows if the first or second world war could've even happened after that? Butterflies, my friend.;)
  14. Victoria II

If I incur some small infamy points, will there be too many negative effects? What will any of the negative effects be?
  15. Victoria II

This has helped somewhat. I guess I'll just keep on lowering taxes and tariffs until the problem goes away. I can sustain losses of over 1000 pounds per day for quite a while. These are the advantages of gaining a shitload of money early on. :D
  16. Damned Turtledove

The lack of a butterfly effect demonstrates lazy writing. Come up with something original instead of just rehashing IOTL but with the CSA and some slightly different alliances.
  17. Map Thread VII

Nah, they were just exploitative. They took those resources and used them to develop themselves instead of their colonies. Rather a dick move, really. And also, Venezuela, Texas, California, and other states will at least make up for anything lost in Africa due to oil, as well as the massive...
  18. Victoria II

Is there any way to stop the constant flood of rebels? Playing as the USA, if that helps at all.
  19. Damned Turtledove

This is why you need to find a few set pieces that are different from what you've read before. Don't worry; you can probably manage it. Just make it a little bit crazy, but not too crazy.
  20. A House Divided Can Stand Alone: A TL

Yeah, that was present early on, but I've since learned my lesson. Glad to see you like it! They're not all European. The main assassin is Persian, like I said. And since most of the collaborators are Arabs, they could infiltrate the area without too much difficulty. Now now. Just because...
