  1. What country do you think deserves a wank?

    -Armenia -Venice -2nd Spanish Republic
  2. Flag Thread III

    "Pakistan" ;)
  3. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Well, yes. As far as I know, the only way to acquire Kingdom-level Venice is to play with less holdings, preferably in Italy. This is easiest in the early 1200's when Venice has acquired a lot of former-ERE territory.
  4. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Do you want the Duchy or the Kingdom of? The latter is just about impossible if you're not Catholic. If you were, the solution is papal invasion of the Republic of Venice.
  5. Flag Thread III

A little nitpick. The shahada must always be upright. It can't be turned or anything like that; Muslims would be unlikely to adopt such a flag.
  6. MotF 68: A Mile Between, A World Away - Voting thread

I am actually curious about the font tnowacki used, since I think it's quite nice. Would the cartographer in question tell me what it is? :D:o
  7. MotF 68: A Mile Between, A World Away - Voting thread

    Voted for tnowacki :)

The Tuscans are fighting the Sardinians, who happen to be allied with the Austrians.

My MotF entry for A Mile Between, A World Away. Not quite sure it meets the requirements, but anyway: High res
  10. MotF 68: A Mile Between, A World Away

I'm not quite sure this meets the restrictions, but here goes. Higher Resolution here

I LOVE THIS MAP, TELL ME EVERYTHING -What font did you use? -Did you use inkscape? -Is this a wiki commons basemap? I cannot say I love this map enough.
  12. The Alphabetic Bouts Of Cartography, Round C!

I voted for Megaman for the backstory, something I've never been good at.
  13. Flag Thread III

There are 5 countries in the European Collective. The central star is, of course, Socialism. I was tempted to do a red fill flag at first, but I thought that the Tricolore was a lot more dear to heart and so nobody would have completely replaced it.
  14. Flag Thread III

The flag of the European Collective, a supranational organisation in the world of my ABC Map Contest Entry And here's the flag of a communist France, member state in that organisation (yes, that's the wreath of the East German emblem :o).
  15. Map Thread X

It's not that clear on this scale, but there is a (non-national) border. Basically, the French never let go of their colonies, but they're like French Overseas Territories, so are marked as France and without a capital city.

I might have been able to keep Greece and Turkey monarchies, but by the POD date, specifically about 1924/5, they had already transitioned to republics. Cyprus would never have been a Kingdom, since I doubt either Greece or Turkey would have accepted that. Thanks. It'll be fixed for the next...
  17. Map Thread X

I deliberately put the pre-WWI German borders on the map, but now I can't remember why :o
  18. The Alphabetic Bouts of Cartography: Discussion & Entries

I'm thinking Communism With European Characteristics (;)), but a little more democratic. I.e., it's still single party, but you can actually vote between different candidates between them, who may be more traditional communist or more liberal than the standard party line. I'd find it hard for...

Point taken :o, edited Andorra's been split into two between France and Spain. San Marino's annexed, Liechtenstein's joined Switzerland and Monaco is annexed.
  20. Map Thread X

Crossposting from the The Alphabetic Bouts of Cartography thread POD after WWI, most of Western Europe goes Communist. Fast forward 75 years, and the European Collective (i.e. Western Europe) are allies with the Atlantic Community, locked in a cold war against the USSR, which makes for...
