Thought Experiment: President Kirkpatrick

This is a strictly theoretical question as there's no chance in Hell of her being elected without a massive divergence but after reading The Fireflies of Port Stanley and being reminded of just how wacky her views were what if Jeanne Kirkpatrick became President of the USA in 1981? Just how "interesting" would the next four to eight years get?

She was still a democrat in 1980, so one would have to raise her to prominence in a Second Ford term at least. That said no president gets to force their will on all, so as for her odd views, you can only theorize one or two of them getting acted on.
