I haven't thought that far yet, but the Mexica are already adopting Spanish names for things they didn't know before, like horses and cows. Are we likely to see some form of pidgin/creole forming - an Españahuatl, if you will?

This is good and bad at the same time, they are animals that will completely change Aztec society. But they will also cause problems such as diseases related to these animals. Especially pigs.I haven't thought that far yet, but the Mexica are already adopting Spanish names for things they didn't know before, like horses and cows.
As the author said that he did not see a complete conversion,so I assume that something similar to Indonesian will occur. With the coastal and merchant groups being Catholic and the interior being native.will Aztecs get Christianized in this timeline?
Pigs are also extremley invasive and can outcompete native wildlife. How this will affect Mesoamerica remains to be seenThis is good and bad at the same time, they are animals that will completely change Aztec society. Look at the Wild Pigs problem OTL. They have become smarter and are able to survive winters and are a menace to crops.Pigs are also extremley invasive and can outcompete native wildlife. How this will affect Mesoamerica remains to be seen

We talking about pigs or peccaries?Look at the Wild Pigs problem OTL. They have become smarter and are able to survive winters and are a menace to crops.
Feral domestic pigs, they're a huge issue in the southern US and Mexico. We talking about pigs or peccaries?
There were already wild peccaries / javalinas from southwestern U.S. down to Patagonia tho.Pigs are also extremley invasive and can outcompete native wildlife. How this will affect Mesoamerica remains to be seen
Pigs reproduce way faster (at least 7 per litter, and they can breed twice a year!) and they're also a lot bigger. Not to mention, they eat much more (look up do pigs eat deer). The problem will only get worse when natural predators get wiped out by settlers/more advanced mesoamericans. Pigs are no joke. There were already wild peccaries / javalinas from southwestern U.S. down to Patagonia tho.
