Has anyone been reading the Forward Saga by Neal Stephenson and a million other people? I'm on book five now and I'm really enjoying the setting (13th century Eurasia during the mongol invasions) and characters, though the authors have a GRRM level of sadism when it comes to characters you expect to live.
