As Dreamers Do Part Deux

Is the Swine Flu Pandemic a thing?
Did U.S. Tv Stations make the switch from analog to digital like OTL?

TV stations are switching to digital, but at a slower pace until President Obama can hand out stimulus checks. He will also ask Congress and the FCC to hand out complementary coupons for people to upgrade their existing TV sets to accommodate the digital transition.

The NHL has plans to stage the start of the 2009-10 regular season in Mexico City, with the Mighty Ducks of San Diego taking on either the Houston Aeros or Los Angeles Kings. The league's medical adivsors have been consulting with Mexican epidemiologists who say that the swine flu situation should improve in the region by mid-September, allowing the season opener to be held as scheduled in early October.

However, there is a Plan B in case the H1N1 outbreak flares back up before then, which would be to simply transfer the game to the home city of either team. The schedule doesn't come out until early July.

"If you want to have a job with me, all I ask is that you refrain from asking what my father would've done. If I hear that question, you're fired. I say this because we live in a world that is constantly evolving and far different from where we were when Dad was in his prime."
- Walt Disney, Jr. in an interview with Inside Edition (1985)

Well, now I'm even more tempted to say my favorite Disney cartoons growing up were Urusei Yatsura and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, because those are undoubtedly "Walt Jr. projects" nowadays.

Well, now I'm even more tempted to say my favorite Disney cartoons growing up were Urusei Yatsura and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, because those are undoubtedly "Walt Jr. projects" nowadays.

To be fair, a lot of Disney adults ITTL who belong to Generations X and Y would argue Walt Jr outshines his dad by about 12 parsecs.

When will the Warriors will be like with Brandon Jennings?, Will they win the NBA Finals in the 2010's just like it happened IOTL?

At first, the Dubs might expect Jennings to carry the team by himself. They'll need to make a few trades to give him the supporting cast he'll need for a ring. In the 2010 off-season expect the Dubs to try to lure Ray Allen, Chris Andersen, Dwight Howard or Chris Bosh in free agency.

In the meantime, Joe Lacob is in the process of buying the Dubs.

The Sonics will be tough to beat with Harden joining Durant and Westbrook.

A couple more pieces will be needed for the Nets to be winners with Steph.

DeRozan should be able to give Dwyane Wade more help getting the Lakers back into the postseason.

The Royals expect Tyreke to start right away, but they'll need to surround him with more talent through the draft in the coming years.

The Suns might let Pau Gasol walk in free agency if they need cap space. If Phoenix misses the playoffs in 2011 they could be in a position to steal Kawhi Leonard in the ensuing draft.

I'm in that intersection between Generation Y and Generation Z, so I'm technically one of those TTL Disney adults. Heck, I'm pretty sure we can make a Disney allignment chart for this timeline and make OTL fans have a heart attack.

This, but if we ask the question "What constitutes as a Disney property?"

Another wrinkle in the sandwich chart ITTL is the dual branding on some titles (TMNT, Home Alone and the remakes of 34th Street and Cheaper by the Dozen).

Dual-branding sometimes gives Disney wiggle room to start a movie with the castle logo and get away with some mild cursing.

Although one single branded flick that got away with cursing was D2 (1994). During the game against Italy, Dave Karp (Gus St. Pierre) exclaims "shit" under his breath after being shoved face first into the plexiglass.

This Just In (June 26, 2009)
Excerpt from the June 26, 2009 edition of SportsCenter on ESPN
Stuart Scott
“Last night before the NBA Draft, Commissioner Jerry West outlined for the crowd how the regular season schedule will be overhauled to facilitate the addition of the Memphis Express, Las Vegas Vipers, Oklahoma City Bison and Pittsburgh Ironmen; all of whom will take the court in the 2010-11 season.”

Starting in 2010-11, the regular season will consist of the following:
- 4 games against each division rival (2 home, 2 away; 20 games total)
- 2 games against each of the other 12 conference opponents (1 home, 1 away; 24 games total)
- 2 games against each inter conference opponent (1 home, 1 away; 36 games total)
- 2 extra conference games determined by previous year’s standings (X team in Division A plays 1 home against same place finisher in division B, 1 away against same place finisher in division C)

Would like to see Up nab Best Picture at the Oscars. (unless I missed an entry, would be a nice history maker for first animated Best Picture.)
