Frederick, Prince of Wales, was the heir to the British throne under the ascension of his father, George II. In OTL after failed negotiations to marry Wilhelmine of Prussia and an aborted marriage with Lady Diana Spencer, Frederick married Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. This marriage seems to me like a very low one for a royal prince. I think it was made mainly because of George II's poor relationship with his son and because Frederick needed a greater allowance which a wife would grant him so he accepted the marriage despite its status. What are some alternate wives for Frederick if his relationship with his father was better and his financial situation was not so desperate?
