As mentioned above, this is an infobox for the most recent general election in my fictional political intrigue world. And yeah, I did use 1) a porn star and 2) myself as face actors. Full list of face actors in the disclaimer a the bottom.

*Robert Redford intensifies*

An old idea of mine finally realized in an infobox: president Robert Redford! As you can imagine, his nomination alone was quite the surprise but him actually winning lead to a massive upheaval in US politics still felt today ITTL.

As a liberal Utahn, you cannot imagine how happy this infobox makes me.

Two infoboxes within 24 hours..? I'm on a roll!

To honor one of the greatest people who ever lived and died earlier this year: Christopher Lee goes into politics instead of moving to America in 1977. Though it should be noted that Lee returned to acting occasionally, doing several instances of voice-acting and cameos in various productions. After deciding not to run again for his MP seat, he mostly focused on another of his passions, singing, recording several opera albums.

He wasn't party leader of the Conservatives. It isn't really a requirement, at least not officially. Granted he became the first PM to not be a party leader since 1935 but it isn't impossible...

It is practically impossible. Particularly so when you're in government - during leadership elections for a government party, the implication (however unstated) is that you're electing a new PM as well as a new leader.

True. And anyway, it's not like the party leader's going to let another MP in his/her party take the Prime Ministership.

I'll be revising it then... Expect the new version to be up tomorrow morning.

EDIT: new version is up in the original post.
