Short Sterland

Somebody said a Stirling was a Sunderland with a bomber slid underneath. That's not exactly true, but I think it's better. Somebody else said Stirlings should have served in Coastal Command. Maybe so.

I don't know anything about this Japanese aircraft, don't know what it's called, don't remember where I found it but I knew I had to share it.
Anyone here know anything about it?

Not a Japanese Plane at all IIRC, it's a hypothetical version of a Delanne Tandem wing aircraft similar to the Arsenal-Delanne 10. Guess it would be "ATL" if he'd gone to Japan to design aircraft...

This is supposed to be a "vacuum-lift" dirigible, using vacuum instead of a lifting gas. Hence the 'semi-crushed' look of the lift cells.

weird, would expect the rounding to go outward, not inward, that way airpressure on the outside would compress the structure in a way that makes it stronger. the the inward curving makes the structure weaker.
