AHC: Cold War Bulgarian Macedonia

Judging from the comments I've read on this board, the most prevalent opinion is that Macedonians are a subsection of Bulgarians who are now considered a separate ethnicity due to Yugoslavic machinations.

In fact, many maps of the late 19th/early 20th centuries explicitly labelled Macedonians as Bulgarians.

So, knowing this, is there any hope of Macedonia becoming part of Warsaw Pact Bulgaria, and not the communist-yet-neutral Yugoslavia?

Maybe if the Soviets invade Macedonia in the end of WW2 and give it to it´s new proxy Bulgaria.

Really? Has anyone checked with the Macedonians with regard to their opinions on the matter?
Suvareshkin was obviously speaking in a historical context, where this statement is pretty much correct up to the 1940s. This is no longer the case - the Macedonians today are a separate nationality, but that doesn't mean that we have to accept the Yugoslav communist invented and promoted pseudo-history claiming that today's Macedonians date back to the times of Alexander the Great or that anyone who was considered a Bulgarian in the geographic region of Macedonia was actually an ethnic Macedonian.

To accomplish this, you have first to reverse the 1920s decision of the Comintern to regard the Slavic inhabitants of Macedonia as a separate ethnicity and instead regard them as Bulgarians which is difficult since the Comintern saw this as the best way of solving the Macedonian dispute since it would neutralise the demands of all three claimants to Macedonia. Plus, it would throw the Comintern on the side of Bulgaria which was extremely weak in the period.
The second requirement is for the Soviets to make Yugoslavia a subservient satellite state - subservient to such an extent that it would consent to losing part of its territory. One should also consider that the Soviets were pretty adamant about reversing all Axis territorial gains. Giving to Bulgaria a territory that had been given previously to it by Nazi Germany would create a very unwelcome precedent.
