  1. WW II Insanity Options

As the man said, why have one when you can have two for twice the price? The USA is wealthy enough for it to shrug off a lot of mistakes; fighting the war with two finicky, underpowered, resource-intensive bombers would make a noticeable dent.
  2. WW II Insanity Options

Most of the damage will be done before the war by sucking up limited development and procurement funds. However useful it ends up being I'd doubt it'd be as useful as the stuff you could have had instead.
  3. WW II Insanity Options

I bet putting the B-15 into production would mess up the Army Air Corps pretty good.
  4. AHC: USA as a (male) soccer/football super power with a 1900 POD

Pro/rel is pretty incompatible with traditional American league system; no owner would invest invest in pro franchise if there was any possibility of it turning into a minor franchise. That's one of the reasons the MLS didn't adopt it when it was created.
  5. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

I had been bullied for years and reached the point where I finally had enough and fought back. Unfortunately that time was two weeks after Columbine. I didn't end up as fucked as kids in this TL, but it was pretty unpleasant.
  6. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

Sorry to hear it hasn't gotten any better in 20 years.
  7. Terror in Littleton: How a tragedy shaped a nation

I'm enjoying it too, but boy is it reminding me how much I hated high school.
  8. AHC: USA as a (male) soccer/football super power with a 1900 POD

The biggest issue for any soccer league in the US is that it's the only sport in the country that has a governing body. The NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB can make whatever changes they want and there's no one who can say no. The OTL American Soccer league wanted to make some changes (a penalty box and...
  9. If World War II Never Happened: A FIFA World Cup Timeline

Reading about what what the United States team was up to during this period is darkly entertaining:
  10. If World War II Never Happened: A FIFA World Cup Timeline

And that's assuming the US wins its bid for 1994.
  11. If World War II Never Happened: A FIFA World Cup Timeline

I wonder when the US is going to make its third World Cup appearance; seeing as we didn't make it in 1950 ITTL.
  12. A very parliamentary state: Newfoundland and Labrador as the 50th US state

Loving it so far; I wonder how the Second Newfoundland crisis (and Suez in a few years) will affect USA-UK relations.
  13. WI: No Xbox?

Apple buys Bungie, which ends up getting spun off about a decade or so later.
  14. A very parliamentary state: Newfoundland and Labrador as the 50th US state

My guess is that Responsible Government wins in the 1948 referendum, and the Economic Union party wins a majority of seats in parliament. It'll be really interesting to see how this would affect US-UK-Canadian relations.
  15. What-ifs in Cold War's Space Race.

I wonder what an "Eyes Turned Downward" timeline would look like if the US ended crewed spaceflight after Apollo. How long would the Soviets continue sending people up if there wasn't any more competition? Would there be more observatories and planetary missions? A Saturn V Centaur powered...
  16. AHC/WI: Wank Your Association Football Men's National Team (and Broader Football/Soccer Scene)

If the American Soccer League can avoid the soccer wars and survive the depression and WWII they would in a very good position to offer lots of programming to the nascent television networks desperate for things to televise. If soccer ends up the third most popular sport in the country after...
  17. TLIAW: No New Taxes in the Nutmeg State

Yeah, but we get to keep the Whalers!
  18. TLIAW: No New Taxes in the Nutmeg State

I wonder if the submarine base survives the BRAC commissions ITTL; also I hope Giordano ends up behind bars too.
  19. Best Modern PoD to kill smartphones?

    Apple goes bankrupt in 1996.
  20. For All Mankind (AH Tv series at Apple TV)

For as long as they've been there I'd imagine there's much more value in studying them than killing them.
